Math in Direct3DX

This document contains a list of mathematical functions of Direct3DX (which is a toolkit for Direct3D (DirectXGraphics), vaguely resembling the GLUT library for OpenGL), together with the description of the math the functions are doing.

Note that this page is not an official documentation for Direct3DX (you can find that somewhere in MSDN) and I cannot take any responsibility for exactness or corectness of anything you may find here. If, however, you find a bug, please report it to me.

Note that this page is a part of my short 3D math reference that is written in czech. I have written this english info page as soon as I realized the page's relative popularity. Luckily, there is not much of the real contents to be translated, as all the math is quite universal. :-)

Notes

The document is a valid HTML 4.0 (you can check it), however, equations are quite difficult to render properly in pure HTML. So the the presented text is often very ugly. Still, I hope you will be able to understand them. If some of the symbols do not display correctly, get some better browser (like Mozilla, or Opera).
